So, [personal profile] tuesdaysgone linked to the Fandom Snowflake Challenge, which is a really awesome idea and one I think will be a great way to start the year (and to start posting over here again on a more consistent basis)! As it's the 2nd, I'll have to do two posts today, but you guys will forgive me for spamming, right?

Day 1

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator. Drop a link to your post in the comments.

Tangentially, I really want to write something in Dragon Age fandom that I feel as strongly about as I feel about the above works, but it hasn't happened yet. The zombie apocalypse story might turn out to be the one, judging by my current level of enthusiasm. Here's hoping! :D
seimaisin: (patrick's new look)
Title: faster than a heartbeat
Pairing(s): Pete/Patrick, various background/past pairings
Word Count: 21,446 words
Rating: NC-17
Summary: Clandestine Station is the end of nowhere - a mining station located on a remote ice planet, far away from any other populated system, with no breathable oxygen and very little contact with the rest of the galaxy. In short, it's Patrick's worst nightmare ... and he's just been assigned to work there.

When he arrives, however, he finds the station populated by a surprisingly cheerful bunch of people, all of whom welcome him with open arms. Patrick fits in better than he ever expected, thanks in large part to Pete, Clandestine's de facto manager. Patrick just might have a raging crush on his new boss, not that he intends to tell him about it.

Eventually, though, Patrick gets exactly what he wanted: a transfer to a far more civilized planet. Only ... he's not entirely sure he wants it any more. When a disastrous storm strikes Clandestine, Patrick is forced to confront his deepest fears and decide once and for all - does he want to go home, or is he already there?

Notes: Many thanks to both [ profile] ignipes and [ profile] prettykitty_aya, who read an early draft when I was tearing my hair out and gave me enough encouragement to get on with the damned thing already. And as always, all the love in the world goes to [ profile] tuesdaysgone, who read and cheered me on at various stages, fixed my grammar and spelling at the end, and is generally awesome in every way. :) Title is stolen from The Alternate Routes' "Carry Me Home."

seimaisin: (damon's sexy face)
More [ profile] fandom_stocking work ... my first attempt at Vampire Diaries fic! 700-ish words of Damon angst written for [ profile] chosenfire28's stocking. Stefan/Elena, drifting in a vaguely OT3-ish sort of direction.

No one has ever accused Damon of being smart. )
seimaisin: (gerard is very much alive)
Title: Writing On The Wall
Pairing: Gerard/Lyn-Z
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: ~4,500
Notes: Vaguely dystopic AU, written for the [ profile] no_tags prompt "Gerard/Lyn-Z, on the lam". Many thanks to [ profile] tricksterquinn for the quick and awesome beta!

Gerard's brush flew across the concrete wall, painting quickly. )
seimaisin: (pete is shocked by your porn)
So, [ profile] no_tags! They have started a lovely master post of all stories and authors in the community here, but I'm just a little OCD about these things after editing the newsletter for so long. ;) So, I spent some time today gathering links and sorting them into band groupings and copying/pasting pairing and prompt info. (What? That was a totally productive use of my day!) There are a lot of stories, y'all! Most of them TOTALLY AWESOME. This has been a fantastic challenge! \o/

Many, many, many thanks to [ profile] airgiodslv for running this for the second year in a row - she's done a ton of work, gathering prompts and hunting down pinch-hitters and generally being awesome. I love seeing bandom so active - the fandom at large has stayed active over the last year or so because people care enough to prod everyone into creative action every once in a while. Those people are my fannish heroes. :D

Anyway. On to the (very long!) masterlist! Note: there are currently 12 11 (maybe?) a small handful of stories as yet unclaimed by their authors in the reveal post; I will edit those stories into the list when the authors reveal themselves! (And yes, this post is public - feel free to point anyone in this direction, should you feel the urge! :))

If you notice any mistakes or omissions below, please let me know!

seimaisin: (greta is totally gorgeous)
Another [ profile] fandom_stocking ficlet - this one was written for [ profile] spindlelimbs, whose stocking professed a love for Greta/Jon and for hospital AUs ...

Title: Shift Change
Pairing: Greta/Jon
Word Count: 700
Rating: R

Everyone on the floor knows that Greta is having an affair with the new nurse. )
seimaisin: (arthur is awake)
So, I wrote a whole bunch of ficlets for [ profile] fandom_stocking. Now that the stockings have been revealed to their recipients, I can post them over here! I'm going to try to post one every day this week, so as not to spam my unsuspecting friends list. :D

This one was written for the lovely [ profile] storydivagirl. ♥

Title: Leave Me Hanging
Fandom: Inception
Pairing: Arthur/Eames
Word Count: 750
Rating:: PG

Arthur knew what the little green plant was. It was 2 weeks before Christmas, after all. )
seimaisin: (mikeyway's hotness cannot be contained)
Title: lost in the falling dark
Authors: [ profile] seimaisin and [ profile] tuesdaysgone
Fandom: My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy
Pairing: Pete/Mikey, Pete/Patrick, Pete/Patrick/Mikey, Frank/Gerard
Word Count: ~27,000
Rating: NC-17
Warnings: depictions of mental illness, for those triggered by such.

Patrick never believed in werewolves - until Pete transformed into one before his eyes. On Warped, he learns that the Way brothers are werewolves too, and Patrick's world is officially really damned strange. Patrick thought he'd figured out how to deal with his tangled feelings for Pete - by ignoring them. It seems like the best way to deal with his jealousy of Pete and Mikey, too. But Mikey seems to have other ideas.

Pete seems like the answer to Mikey's growing misery. Newly-sober Gerard is still learning how to control his wolf self without self-medicating, and he's been dancing around his relationship with Frank for far too long, in Mikey's opinion. But watching Pete and Patrick do the same dance just reminds Mikey of how lonely he feels, especially since he's feeling an instinctive need to be part of what Pete and Patrick share.

Notes: Many thanks to [ profile] ohnoscarlett for the beta, and to [ profile] iamsupernova for the awesome art! Warning for occasional abuse of canon timelines. Title and cut-tag are from Black Lab's "Sun and Moon."

Title: i'm a birdie on the wing
Rating: PG
Pairing: Brendon/Spencer
Word Count: 4,688
Notes: Written for [ profile] merihn for the [ profile] help_pakistan charity auction. Her list of requests included Brendon/Spencer and high school AUs, so I hope this fits something she was looking for! :) Thanks to [ profile] tuesdaysgone for the beta! Title stolen shamelessly from A Chorus Line.

Summary: High school AU! Spencer had no idea how he ended up in show choir.

seimaisin: (eames gambles with his life)
Title: to the beat of our noisy hearts
Pairing: Ariadne/Arthur/Eames
Word Count: ~2,500
Rating: R
Notes: Thanks to [ profile] tricksterquinn for reading this over and assuring me it didn't suck. :) Title stolen shamelessly from Matt Nathanson.

Arthur bent down to say something over the music, and Ariadne laughed. His eyes crinkled, and he pulled her closer, taking the hand out of her hair and sliding it slowly down the back of her tank top. She pressed a kiss to his jaw.

They were, Eames thought, the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen.

They rarely went out to places like this. )
seimaisin: (eames in a suit)
So, a couple of weeks ago, I was browsing all the unfilled prompts over at [ profile] inception_kink, and this one caught my eye. I kept hoping someone else would fill it so I could read it, but eventually I just figured that if you want something done ... well, 'right' is subjective, but hey, this fandom needs all the OT3 fic it can get, as far as I'm concerned. ;)

Title: For the Job
Pairing: Ariadne/Arthur/Eames
Word Count: ~3,200
Rating: R
Summary: Written for this prompt. They wind up having to blend in with an orgy in a mark's dream.

She'd designed a hedonistic-looking den, but Ariadne hadn't actually expected the mark to populate it with an orgy. )
seimaisin: (ariadne is skeptical)
... and lo, I dive into the deep end of Inception fic. :)

Title: walking on my skin again
Pairing: Ariadne/Arthur
Word Count: ~11,000
Rating: PG
Author's Notes: I owe a deep, deep debt of gratitude to [ profile] moryssa and [ profile] rossetti, who read and gave me amazing feedback that helped certain parts of this story come together in a much better way than I ever thought possible. Thank you, ladies! ♥ The title comes from Counting Crows' "When I Dream of Michaelangelo."

Summary: After the Fischer job, Arthur disappears; Ariadne drifts and dreams. It takes some action, some advice, and a little bit of trust for either one to find themselves again.

The first time Ariadne slept after sharing Cobb's dream-prison, she dreamed of Mal. )
