Title: Writing On The Wall
Pairing: Gerard/Lyn-Z
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: ~4,500
Notes: Vaguely dystopic AU, written for the [livejournal.com profile] no_tags prompt "Gerard/Lyn-Z, on the lam". Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] tricksterquinn for the quick and awesome beta!

Gerard's brush flew across the concrete wall, painting quickly. )

Title: Chasing Starlight
Pairing(s): Bob/Mikey, various background pairings
Word Count: ~32,600
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Space opera AU! Bob is a cargo pilot on a secret mission. Mikey is an escaped prisoner with no memory of who he is or where he came from. Together, they travel the galaxy in search of Mikey's identity ... but perhaps identity is less what you remember and more what you do when your back's against the wall.

Author's Notes: Once upon a time, a delusional writer said "oh, hey, I can totally write that idea in around 20,000 words or less, it'll be no problem!"

... and then this happened.

This story turned out to be way more epic than I ever thought it would be. I had a hell of a time writing it - I only hope [livejournal.com profile] teaforbryony (for whom this was written, in the [livejournal.com profile] drawn_to holiday fic exchange) has as much fun reading it!

I would never have made it through if I didn't have a [livejournal.com profile] tuesdaysgone to patiently listen to my crazy ideas and read my half-formed scenes and generally encourage the hell out of me. (She is also the Destroyer of Commas!) Thanks also go to [livejournal.com profile] tigs for beta duty, as well as [livejournal.com profile] carleton97 and [livejournal.com profile] taylorea for Saturday morning writing motivation. :) Title stolen from Muse.

We are home! We escaped Wisconsin with our lives! \o/

And now, a concert report, before I forget/get distracted. Because, as you'll note, I still haven't done my recap of TRB. From January.

Anyway! I do not fail that hard tonight.

And now, it's all over. I'm kinda sad - I'm exhausted, yes, but these were three of the best shows I've seen in a long time, and the idea that I can't do it again anytime soon is a little heartbreaking. But I'm glad we drove an insane number of miles - something like 1600 over the last five days total? - to see three shows. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

So, [livejournal.com profile] sister_wolf wished me a happy birthday earlier, and told me she'd have gotten me Frank, Patrick, or Spencer if they didn't move so damned fast. I told her I wanted all of them in the same room together ... which then led the conversation down the merry path of crack AUs.

In which Patrick Stump and Spencer Smith are your evil overlords, with many minions, some more useful and effective than others. FOB, MCR, PatD, with special appearances by a couple of members of Cobra Starship )

Dude. We don't know, either. But it's AWESOME.

ETA: zomg, not friends locked! Because if we're on crack, everyone else should enjoy too.
